Top 10 - [Childrens] Books/Authors I'm Thankful For

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

I decided to narrow down this topic to make it easier to create my list.  I am creating my list of
Top Ten Children's Books/Authors I am Thankful for.  Specifically favorite books from my childhood.  My love for books as a child definitely carried over into adulthood and these were among the ones that stuck with me.  So a HUGE thanks for authors of children's books!!

In no particular order:

1. Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

3. How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell

4. Chocolate Fever by Robert Kimmel Smith

5. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff & Felicia Bond

7. Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney & Anita Jeram

8. Puff the Magic Dragon by Romeo Muller

9. Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Suess

10. Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown & Clement Hurd

Just for fun: My daughter, a.k.a. my very own Mouse from "If You Take a Mouse To The Movies"

Which author made your list?  Did you love any of these books as a child?
Leave me a comment to let me know!

  6. I can even imagine the pain of picking children's books. It was bad enough picking authors to be thankful for. Nice list though.
