Summary:
Late Fall 2010 Reuters Estimates say that nearly three thousand people nationwide, and fifteen thousand people worldwide have died of the H1N1 virus or Swine flu and nearly eighty thousand cases have been confirmed in hospitals and clinics across the United States and the world, the World Heath Organization reported.

It took me longer to finish this than I would have preferred and because of that it has affected my overall rating.  However, I enjoyed this book.  The wit and sarcasm of the main character was great!  I even had some laugh out loud moments (odd in a zombie horror book).  Gross factor was high!   Creep out factor even higher.  These are not your average zombies.  And I even had a tear up moment which was very unexpected.  I enjoyed the journal format of this story more than I thought too.

Favorite quotes from the book:

"She had a mission: saving one of her offspring.  Don't ever get between a mother and her young."

"All of the Clorox wipes in Lowe's weren't ever going to make me feel clean again."

"Survival is an all-consuming event within its own right."

Overall I give this book 3.8 stars.  Knowing there are 6 more books in this series has me incredibly intrigued to read on to see what happens with these characters I am rooting for as they struggle to survive!

Have you read Zombie Fallout?  If you love a good zombie horror, I recommend it!
