Feature & Follow {8}

Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.

"Increase blog followers, gain book blog followers, and make new friends with the book blogger Feature & Follow."

This week's question is:

Q. What book do you think everyone should read, if you could gift the entire population with one book?

I know you were probably hoping I'd pick some fantastic fictional book, of which there are many out there that I have loved and would highly recommend to people.  But generally I would only recommend them to those who enjoy that genre of book.  For instance I'm not going to recommend a vampire book to someone who hates paranormal reads.  They just wouldn't enjoy it.  The one and ONLY book that I would recommend to everyone and anyone is, hands down, the Bible.

I'm sure there are those of you out there stopping by today who may not believe in the Bible or believe in GOD, and I'm not posting this to have some theological debate with you at this time so please refrain from leaving comments as such.  There are forums and places for that, but my book blog is not one of them.  As I have quoted before on a previous post, and will post again:

1 Timothy 4:8 - "While physical training has some value, training in holy living is useful in everything.  It has promise for this life now and the life to come."

For those interested in spiritual discussion and research material I highly recommend this website that my husband created and writes on: Chasing a Lion.

Back to the land of books, what one book would you recommend?
Leave me a comment and don't forget to follow via GFC, as that is the purpose of this meme, and I will gladly follow you back!
Don't forget before you leave to take advantage of both giveaways I am participating in on my blog right now.

  1. I used to read the Bible on school. I have a copy myself and I don't read in it, but there are certainly good passages in it :)

  3. That's a great choice! I'm actually challenging myself to read the entire Bible in 2013. Now just to find a decent copy of it for free for my Nook.....
