Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's topic is Top Ten Books I Read in 2012.
Out of the 45 books I've read this year (which isn't near as many as a lot of bloggers out there have read), I have had quite a few favorites. Some even made it into the category of "the BEST BOOK I've ever read".
In order of earliest read to most recent read in 2012:
1. As Sure as the Dawn by Francine Rivers (this is the 3rd book in her Mark of the Lion series. All 3 books are fabulous, emotional and faith building!)
2. Divergent by Veronica Roth (Outstanding and creative world created in these books!)
3. Insurgent by Veronica Roth
4. A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin (Martin doesn't disappoint with an incredible setting and equally incredible characters. This book had it all and had some serious gut wrenching scenes!)
5. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout (hands down my favorite "supernatural" series of 2012)
6. Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout
7. Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout
8. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry (talk about a heart breaker of a book!!)
9. Slammed by Colleen Hoover (hands down my favorite "YA contemporary" series of 2012!)
10. Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover
11. - because I can't leave my list without adding it - Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I anticipate 2013 to be filled with just as many wonderful books, if not more!
What made your list? Leave me a comment and link!

Great list! I should have added Obsidian and all to my list--at least the honorable mentions, but they feel like they fall into next year's reads.

I really need to read Insurgent, I have heard mix things about it and I want to see for myself whether its good or not.

I loved Slammed and Point of Retreat! Pushing The Limits was also a great read! I'm so glad I discovered these books this year!
ReplyDeleteI have Pushing the Limits and cannot wait to read about them. I actually scheduled it in for Feb, to ensure I read it! LOL
