Summary:MY REVIEW:
Five years ago, Kat Harper fell into a dizzying summer romance with her brother’s best friend Bryan. It was a mad, crazy love full of kisses all through the night — but he broke her heart and she had to move on.
Five years later, Kat is finishing her graduate degree and building her business as a jewelry designer, when Bryan, head of his own successful company, walks back into her life. Bryan has been assigned to Kat as her new business mentor and the rules are clear. No hanky panky permitted. That works for both of them. Kat needs to grow her business to help her parents; Bryan needs to run a clean operation after his former business partner’s romantic scandal that rocked his firm.
Kat can handle that because she's totally over him... right? Except, he still makes her laugh. And he remembers all the things she likes. And he's more handsome now than he was then. Then there’s the spark between them — the simply undeniable chemistry.
Can they resist each other? Or are they willing to risk everything for a second chance at first love?
This was a cute-sy fun, flirty, entertaining read. I absolutely adored the idea of the make believe companies "My Favorite Mistakes" and "Made Here". Somebody HAS to create these lines of accessories!! Brilliant I tell you!
But back to the book. I don't really have anything negative to say (that's a plus right?) but I wasn't really blown away either. Kat is trying to get her MBA and to do so she has to partner with a business mentor with the stipulation from the Professor that all must remain professional between the mentor and the protege or an "F" will be given for the final grade. That seems easy enough until she is paired with the only guy she's ever fallen in love with and who broke her heart 5 years ago, Bryan Leighton, the CEO of Made Here. Turns out their feelings for each other weren't one-sided 5 years ago and the re-connection between them is stronger and hotter than ever.
This was a fun love story about first love and true love, what it's like to find "the one". Plus it features Paris as a setting part of the time, which I just find uber sexy as a setting for all things romantic (probably because I've never been there and the vision in my head can't possibly be what it's really like....or can it?).
Favorite Quotes:
"If I were a rock star, I'd have Taylor Swifted him and written one of those anthemic I don't love you anymore songs."
"When your first love tells you how good it is to see you again, you don't think at all. You just feel."
"He was a movie kiss, he was the name above the title. He was the one you wanted the heroine to wind up with so badly that your heart ached for her when they weren't together, then soared when they finally were."
"...when it comes to sports I specialized in walking, just walking, and only walking."
"Any girl who says she doesn't keep a list of best kisses ever is lying. She may not have a pen-and-paper list, but she knows in her head who rocked her world and made her more than weak in the knees."
"Where else do you fall but in love?"
"I was crazy in love with you then. Just like I am now. I've always loved you. I never stopped."
"...I want to be your forever mistake..."
Final Rating - 3.5 stars

The first reason I must read this book was because Pepe Toth is on the cover *grin* And then the story sounds interesting. Reading your review, makes me couldn't wait to read this book myself.
