Teaser Tuesday #10

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Anyone can play along.  Just do the following:

- Grab your current read

- Share two (2) random teaser sentences

- Be careful not to include spoilers. (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away.  You don't want to ruin the book for others.)

In the effort of trying to make my way through all the Kindle books I've purchased this year, I have just started this book and haven't even made it to this teaser yet myself.  I just swiped, landed on this page and picked some sentences.  So these teasers intrigue me to find out what's going on.  I hope it did you too!
