For those of you who have been following my blog this year or these Cat Thursday posts you will know that my sweet kitty of 14.5 years passed away in January. Not a day goes by that his sweet face doesn't make me smile (he is still featured as my iPhone background). But I am REALLY itching to get another pet. I miss the warmth and joy animals bring. I'm much more a cat person than a dog person but even puppies sound good right now - and I KNOW I must have lost my mind because puppies are SOOOOO much more work than kitties!!! I'm waiting on the right kitty to touch my heart just like my Luckie Bear did and that hasn't happened yet.
Kitties are the best snuggle buddies when reading!
My cats wouldn't likely stay under my arm; they'd be on top of the book or in front of the book trying to get my full attention. LOL I love the photo of kitten reading the book. So cute.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will find your cat one of these days--or he or she will find you. My heart goes out to you. I miss my dog every day. Someday I would like to welcome another dog into our family. I've never had just cats. I've always had a dog. Cats definitely are easier, although mine have been acting like dogs lately--maybe they know how much I miss mine. :-)
And all three at once sounds magical! Dirty chais combine both tea and coffee!
ReplyDeleteI can't agree more with the sentiments in that picture! And you'll find the right sweetheart when the time comes! PS Dogs are way too much work!
ReplyDeleteWonderful picture! Goof prefers to lie next to me on the couch though. Or sit on my book. :D
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss. My sister says that they leave paw prints on our hearts. You will know when the time is right. My mother waited years before finding the right match for her again. But they are a perfect match.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile I love the sentiment in the picture.
I love that!! "Paw prints on our heart".
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Kate!
My kitty that passed either would lay right next to me or in my lap and if I ever read on my bed he would cover the book too - see the picture on the left side bar to see what I'm referring to.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Bea!
Dogs ARE way too much work!! I couldn't agree more! But we have recently been around a puppy that just melted my heart!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Melissa!
Agree! For me it's hot coffee, a good book and my beloved kitty! There was nothing better!!
ReplyDeleteWe had a Rott for 7 years from the time she was 6 weeks old. When we got her we knew nothing about dogs and so we didn't work to house train her and put her outside. I will NEVER have another outside dog. They get neglected too easily. And I'm not ready for an inside dog - therefore, cats it is!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
I am so sorry about your kitty. It is so hard to lose a beloved pet. You will find the right kitty and it will be when you least expect it. When I lost Ethan 6 years ago, it took me 6 months before Alice caught my eye and my heart. And she turned out to be so much like him in temperament. That's how I truly know she was right. =O)
ReplyDeleteAww I know it must be right with no kitty in the house but the right one will find you at the right time, I'm sure of it :) sometimes it just takes a little time! I'm much more of a cat person too and I agree dogs are sooo much work o.O In the meantime, I really love the image you shared AND the words are so true ♥ Thanks for sharing Holly!
