Summary:
Playboy Cage owns the apartment, and he hosts a revolving door of people, in and out, at all times. Most of them are long-legged hot girls who are never there more than a night or two. When Cage’s new roommate, Marcus, enters the picture, he’s just looking to nurse a broken heart. But there’s one particular semi-frequent regular who catches his eye.

Willow—“Low”—is the one Cage wants to marry. But the two of them are night and day, and Marcus can’t see how Low puts up with all of Cage’s womanizing. What she really needs is a real man....like good-looking and sensible Marcus. But that’s going to get real complicated and real messy—real fast.
My Review:
What I liked: Marcus deserved his own story after his heartbreak from Sadie in book 1, Breathe.  He is a hottie (who by the way the cover model doesn't look at all like what I picture Marcus to look like, but hot looks aside he is also a genuinely good guy.  He deserves a happy ending too.

I liked that the struggles in Marcus' family and in Willow's family are real life.  Unfortunately it's a topic that touches so many lives today, and because of that I found this story to be very relate-able on an emotional level.  I love the lesson learned that "Things happen in life, and you can't control them.  It sucks and you have to move on."

What I didn't like: The predictability of Willow's situation can be seen a mile away.  I enjoy my stories to have a bit of surprise to the plot.  Unfortunately the pieces of this story fall into place very easily and very quickly for the reader.

Predictability aside, this was another enjoyable love story by the fabulous Abbi Glines!

Final Rating - 4 stars

I haven't read anything from Glines yet. Sucks about the predictability though. Glad you still enjoyed it. Great review.

Hmm...if you didn't enjoy her Too Far series, I'm not so sure you'd enjoy her Sea Breeze series. I love them all!

Predictability aside, Glines writes great stories. (IMO) The Sea Breeze boys are a lot of fun to read about.

  5. I think a love story often has an element of predictability to it and if I enjoy the author's writing style I will generally overlook this, sounds like that has happened here. I have not read book one, but will check it out. Thank you for sharing with us :)
