Summary:
There was something wicked about Beau that drew me to him. What was wrong with me? Why did I want to sin so badly?

Ashton is getting tired of being good, of impressing her parents and playing ideal girlfriend to Sawyer Vincent. Sawyer is perfect, a regular Prince Charming, but when he leaves town for the summer, it’s his cousin Beau who catches Ashton’s eye. Beau is the sexiest guy she’s ever seen, and even though he’s dangerous, Ashton is drawn to him.

Beau loves his cousin like a brother, so the last thing he wants to do is make a move on Sawyer’s girl. Ashton is off-limits, absolutely. That’s why he does his best to keep his distance, even though he’s been in love with her forever. When Ashton wants to rekindle their childhood friendship in Sawyer’s absence, Beau knows he should say no.

Ashton and Beau don’t want to hurt Sawyer. But the more they try to stay away from each other, the more intense their urges become. It’s getting way too hard to resist...
My Review:
Continuing on with my completion of reading all Abbi Glines books in my possession, the Vincent Boys series was next in line.  As with all of Abbi's other books this one didn't disappoint.  I loved that Sawyer, Beau and Ashton have been best friends since kindergarten.  Best friends make the BEST boyfriends/husbands!  (I'm partial to this because my husband is my best friend and has been since he was 16 and I was 17).  Anyway, back to the story.  Around age 14 Sawyer and Ashton get invovled and her friendship with Beau becomes nonexistent, living in the same small town they just become more like acquaintances.  Fast forward 3 years and Sawyer is gone for the summer with his family and Ashton is tired of being what he, the star quarterback, thinks is perfect and what her preacher father thinks is perfect, and the whole self righteous town thinks is perfect.  Beau was always her partner in crime as kids and she misses that part of herself, the slightly rebellious, adventurous, fun and carefree part.  Beau is all grown up now though and she has an extreme attraction to him that she knows is wrong and would hurt Sawyer.  One could say she plays with fire, the intent to reconnect with Beau as a friend, but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants...and Ashton's heart is screaming at her that she wants more than a friendship with Beau.

If you're a fan of Abbi Glines other work, then you are sure to enjoy this romance too!

Final Rating - 4 stars

  1. Holly I still haven't tried this author and this sounds sweet and filled with boys! Doesn't she write adult books too?
