Summary:
I must admit that contemporary romance stories that involve sports are really my thing right now. I just can't get enough of them. This story has it all that you'd expect in a New Adult novel. The angst, romance, intensity, passion and sexiness overflows. Jack Carter is the universities star baseball pitcher and is well known for the many girls who all too eagerly fall all over of him trying to be the one to calm the beast.
Cassie struggles with trusting people after having a loser of a father who lies and cheats. So the last thing she wants to do is get involved with any guy like Jack Carter. One thing is for sure though - he is incredibly attractive and super charming....and a little thing known as persistence.
This story, which is told from alternating POV's from Jack and Cassie, had me pulling my hair out and wanting to throw my iPad across the room (more than once!), it had me giggling, tearing up and wanting to tear my heart out along with Cassie, basically all the great emotions we want in a contemporary romance.
Fans of stories like Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles, and Noah by Elizabeth Reyes will love this one!
Favorite Quotes:
"You're both so screwed up alone that together you're like the perfect mess."
"I'll be the perfect mess with you anytime."
"But when I told you I loved you, I meant it. I didn't mean that I'd love you only if it was easy, or only if it was drama-free. I think we both know life isn't like that."
"You're my game changer, you know that?"
"That boy could talk me out of buying an umbrella during a hailstorm."
"I think it was Ghandi who said, Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."
Final Rating - 4.5 stars

Summary:
He's a game she never intended to play.MY REVIEW:
And she's the game changer he never knew he needed.
The Perfect Game tells the story of college juniors, Cassie Andrews & Jack Carter. When Cassie meets rising baseball hopeful Jack, she is determined to steer clear of him and his typical cocky attitude. But Jack has other things on his mind... like getting Cassie to give him the time of day.
They're both damaged, filled with mistrust and guarded before they find one another (and themselves) in this emotional journey about love and forgiveness. Strap yourselves for a ride that will not only break your heart, but put it back together.
Sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful...
