Summary:
Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller Lick. Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast—at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn’t plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn’t count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she’d ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls—especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn’t end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?
MY REVIEW:
This is another fabulously enjoyable story to a hot series! The band members of Stage Dive are literally too good looking to be real, with their tattoos, cocky attitudes and rock-star status. In the fiction world though they are a hoot to read about! There were many laugh-out-loud moments!

Mal Ericson is the drummer of the rock band Stage Dive. He's been living the life associated with his title and has any number of women at his disposal. His friends have noticed a change in his behavior and demeanor though and they are worried about him. Having had another band-mate to be in and out of rehab they are all on edge with his over-the-top manic behavior.

Anne is an acquaintance of Ev's (she is the wife of guitarist David Ferris - from book one, Lick), and by way of a mutual friend Anne is invited to a party at David and Ev's house. Given the fact that her living situation has just reached dire circumstances and she can either sit at home and sulk or go to a party at a famous rock star's house, she gets pushed to go and ends up having a rather strange encounter with none other than....her teenage rock star crush, Malcolm Ericson!

A strange proposal is offered and she figures - what does she have to lose?! Nothing but her heart.

Favorite Quotes:
And I was so obviously checking him out someone would slap me. If I kept this up, I would slap me. Hard.

"So, I've given this absolutely no thought and decided that you need boundaries, Anne. Boundaries. Are. Your. Friends."

What was it about bad boys? Someone needed to invent a cure.

"You know, I honestly can't decide if your ego is repulsive or just impressive."

"You're such a nice girl, Anne." Mal projected for the sake of our neighbors. "I really like you a lot." "Seriously? That's your version of sex talk?"

Final Rating - 4 stars.

  1. Mal is the best, he has no filter on his mouth and what he says made me gape time and time again before rolling on the floor laughing ! He's my favorite (but Jimmy is not as bad as I thought he was). It's a fabulous series :)
