This week my teasers come from
Feed (Newsflesh #1) by Mira Grant:
Teasers: It was a grassroots revolution based on two simple precepts: survive however you could, and report back whatever you learned because it might keep somebody else alive.

I'm not very far into this zombie read, so the verdict is still out as to how much I like or dislike it. It follows 3 young adults who blog as a profession in the zombie infested world they now live in, and have been accepted to work on the new President candidate's campaign.
The story in the beginning (and I'm only 12% through) is going in a direction I wasn't aware of....and I'm not sure how I feel about that. As of yet, it hasn't been a heart pounding, run for your lives, kind of zombie story that we, zombie fans, feed (pun intended) off of. Maybe it's getting there though.
I was in the mood for some zombie horror since it's October and The Walking Dead starts back October 12th AND Halloween isn't far away.
What are you reading this week?
Share a teaser with me!
Ooh interesting! Totally new to me read! Hope you're enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I've been wanting to read this one ... must get to it.
ReplyDeleteI read Feed but i don't remember a lot about it. I did feel like it wasn't scary though, and that was kind of a let down, but I think it was a pretty good read anyway. Hope you enjoy it! Here's my TT. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI love scary/creepy books this time of year! Great teaser, and I really hope the book gets scarier and picks up the pace as it goes on :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI wanna read this one!
ReplyDeleteSo far, at 18% now, it's more about the bloggers and their job than it is about flesh eating zombies. I can't saw how that'll change in what's left BUT for now, it's not my speed of zombie that I like to read about. They are more just background noise. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Laura!
ReplyDeleteAt 18% I'm still waiting for the scare/creep factor that zombies are known for. I'm disappointed right now though. Thanks for stopping by Alma!
ReplyDeleteOh boy - it didn't stick with you. huh? That's my impression of it as well at 18% into it. That's a bummer too. Thanks for stopping by Kim!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say I'd recommend it to zombie fans.....just yet. At 18% in I'm more disappointed by it's non-scare factor. But there's a lot of book left to read. Thanks for stopping by Beth!
ReplyDeleteNot so much on the enjoyment factor right now. Hoping it gets better. Thanks for commenting Jessica!
