Summary:
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover, a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.

At twenty-two years old, Sydney has a great life: She's in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter's cheating on her--and she is left trying to decide what to do next.

Sydney becomes captivated by Ridge, her mysterious neighbor. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there's something about Sydney that Ridge can't ignore, either. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one...

Original music created for Maybe Someday by musician Griffin Peterson can be accessed through the website listed in the ebook and paperback.
MY REVIEW:
I can't begin to adequately describe the feelings I had while reading this book, the number of times my heart broke and the tears I shed. It was absolutely heart breaking to read. I stayed up till 11:30 one night because I could NOT put it down. This is big for me. I haven't stayed up that late to read a book that gripped my heart like this in a long time. (I mean seriously - I go to sleep no later than 10:00, and usually am out by like 9:00). I felt a very real connection with these characters and for the 2 days it took me to read it I was consumed with thoughts of them. Colleen Hoover is just THAT good.

This story is told between alternating POV's of Sydney and Ridge. The majority of the book takes place in text messages or instant messages between them. The why of that is explained very early on so I won't ruin it for you.

Ridge is such an incredible guy. Sigh... He is loyal, honest, and honorable. Sydney is a sweetheart and she is thoughtful and considerate. Together they have the best friendship with feelings growing much deeper. Only...the timing isn't right and the situation can't lend itself to anything more than friends. Thus maybe someday...

I read a Kindle version of this story so it did have the links to the songs by Griffin Peterson included. This was....different. I wouldn't say it added much to the story, for me personally, but it wasn't a distraction in a negative way either. Although I didn't really care for that style of music, it perhaps added the benefit of hearing the words played to actual music. I listened to the first 2 or 3 songs and then I just skipped that part when it would come up. After experiencing this in a book I can honestly say that I prefer just imagining what a song would sound like that's being referenced in a story than hearing someone else's version of what the song would sound like....if that makes sense.

I have so much to say yet don't want to give anything away from this amazing story. If you love tear-jerker romances, then this is the book for you! If you love books about guitar playing hotties, then this is the book for you! If you love other books by Colleen Hoover, then this is the book for you!

Favorite Quotes:
I never realized how powerful desire could be. It consumes every part of you, enhancing your senses by a million.

His memory is the last place I want to be. I would give anything to always be in his present.

People can't control matters of the heart, Warren. They can only control their actions, which is exactly what Ridge did.

Where's the Sydney who knows this shouldn't be happening? I'll look for her later. After he finishes with his pen.

Final Rating: 5 stars!
