Summary:
Ariana Skyee has been the center of Zane Anders’ world for years. They got together as a couple ten months ago, so Zane finally has the girl of his dreams. Life should be peachy.

But it isn’t.

Haunted by a shared secret that threatens to destroy their relationship and claim their sanity, Zane is on a one-man mission to prevent Ari from falling apart.

Then Commander Skyee drops the biggest bombshell of all, and everything Zane has taken for granted about the future is shattered overnight.

Always and Forever: That’s what Zane has promised Ari.
Keeping that promise is about to become the hardest thing he will ever do.

Special Note from the author:

This Novella is narrated solely from Zane Anders’ point of view, and it depicts the events leading up to Ari’s move to Planet Novo. This is NOT a follow on from where Beyond Reach, Book 2 in the series, left off. This relays events prior to True Calling, Book 1. In order to ensure consistency and maximise reading enjoyment, I recommend that the stories within this series are read in the following sequence:

True Calling – Book 1
Lovestruck – Short Story
Beyond Reach – Book 2
Light of a Thousand Stars – Novella
Destiny Rising – Book 3.
MY REVIEW:
I was sent an eBook ARC of this novella from the author after signing up to participate in her ARC list. I had previously already read the first two books in the True Calling series: True Calling and Beyond Reach.

This novella is told from the POV of Zane and it takes place before the events in the first book, True Calling. If you haven't read the first 2 books in the series then I would highly recommend you wait to read any further of this review so as not to spoil anything.

In this novella we finally get to see a glimpse into the relationship that Zane and Ari had before her memory was wiped, when Zane is 17 and Ari just turns 15. When we first meet Ari in True Calling she has no memory of this strange boy named Zane that she sees glimpses of in her dreams. Then she starts to hear his voice in her head. It turns out that Zane and Ari were deeply in love while they both lived on Earth, but then Ari gets sent to the planet Nova with her family and her mind is wiped of certain memories, unbeknownst to her, as part of protocol of all of those traveling to Novo. When we meet Zane our heart breaks for the love he lost and the weight of carrying around all of the feelings he still has for Ari even though it's now unrequited love.

This novella was just what I like to read about. Young love and passion. It was sweet and fulfilling and a tear jerker. A perfect addition to the series!

Favorite Quotes:
"You deserve so much more. And I promise to spend the rest of my life giving you everything you deserve."

"I love you so much. And from what I've seen - with my parents and yours - love isn't all hearts and flowers. It's always being there for each other and helping one another face the crap life throws our way. So yeah, I'm not going anywhere. I'm with you, now and always."
