This week was another sad one for my family.  I feel like there have been more sad ones this year than happy.  Our sweet 5 month old kitty, named Angel Bear, (you can see her picture when we first brought her home at 5 weeks on the left side bar), died on Wednesday.  We had taken her in for a spay and declaw on her front paws that morning.  Her heart stopped towards the end of the procedure and they were unable to revive her.  I question heavily whether she was given too much anesthesia for her small 4 pound body, or kept under for too long, but either way, she is no longer with us.  My heart was crushed. I have a kitty hole in my heart that can only be filled by a kitty. As sad as I was to lose another fur baby this year I went straight away to adopt another one - from a different vet. I couldn't let the same vet do those procedures again (they weren't my normal vet anyway). So I adopted a champagne colored kitten who is the same age as Angel.  5 months old.  She will undergo the same 2 procedures tomorrow morning and then hopefully we can bring her home tomorrow evening or Tuesday at the latest.  She doesn't have a name yet because I wanted my husband and kids to meet her first.
