The last Sunday Post I shared was at the end of July and I said I was going back to work. Well, I started my new job as an elementary school secretary on August 10th and my reading, and therefore blogging, time has gone to nearly zero! I just haven't figured out how to fit in reading, and making any significant progress in books, all while working full time AND having evenings and weekends devoted to my teenagers and their extra curriculars or just family time, cleaning house time and lastly, down time. Daughter's ankle is still not 100% but the orthopedic appointment and (second) xray this week showed no fracture. With a strong anti-inflammatory and strict instructions to work her ankle and strengthen it with PT exercises, she's walking with a brace and slowly getting back the activities she enjoys most! Band camp starts for my oldest this week. 8:00-5:00 all week for two weeks. It's a tiring time for him but he LOVES it! The weekend brought some much needed down time, but also I went to see Before I Fall with my snl, friend, daughter and her friend. Having not read the book, I didn't know what it was about. I enjoyed it very much though. Although a sad ending, the story had a great message about bullying. And we have one more school week till spring break, in which my kids will travel on vacation with their grandparents and cousin and I'll enjoy a MUCH needed rest from driving kids all over creation.
