Review - TBD

I am so stoked about the freedom summer brings to read more books than what I normally can get through during my kids school year. I know I've been counting down the days till their summer for awhile, but I can't help it. We are THAT ready for a break. 3 days for my son and 9 days for my daughter (not including weekends). With the end of the school year brings a lot of end of year activities so my reading this past week really slacked off. As of right now I don't have any reviews scheduled for this week and with next week being Armchair BEA 2014 I won't post any reviews that week either. Maybe that'll help me get a jump start to summer reviews.

In other BIG news around our house, my husband just released his second book entitled House Church Reflections that he's been writing and editing for about 4 months now. He writes on a spiritual blog at Chasing A Lion. This book he wanted to share (and it's free) to encourage personal study and reflection. His first book is available on Amazon and it's entitled Daily Family Devotionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I totally would have plugged Tim's book if I'd realized before late last night that he released it! YAY for summer break coming up soon! And how's Barely Breathing coming for you? I was very anxious while reading that book because I wasn't happy with Emma (isn't that her name? I forget).

  2. We have two weeks left of school and it's crazy the amount of activities that are packed into that time-I'm chaperoning for three field trips, almost back to back oiy!

Oh man, my kids would love to have that many field trips in the last couple weeks of school! My daughter's school is still taking grades through this week. Making every stinkin' day count! Thanks for commenting!

I think I'm 70% or so through BB. It's pretty good - a little slow but I found that to be the case with book 1. Yes, her name is Emma - and I agree, I've wanted to shake her a few times - Evan too for that matter!

  5. Congratulations to your husband!
The summer break is quite early for you? here in the UK it starts in mid July until beginning of September. But I do agree, I read more in the summer (only my youngest is still in school).
Have a great week and Happy Reading.
