Review - Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Unfortunately this second week of our holiday break I have been super sick. Blah. I went to the Dr on Monday of this week only to have them confirm that "I have a really bad cold". You think?! I tested negative for the flu, for strep and for pneumonia. He didn't say anything about bronchitis though. I've always wondered how sick you had to be to get shots in the doctor's office. Well, I guess I finally joined that club.
A steroid shot and an antibiotic shot were given along with some antibiotics and cough syrup to take at home. I have this horrendous deep chest cough - such like I've never had before, where your throat is constantly burning and when you do cough it feels like your lungs are on fire. Until you can cough up the yuckiness you feel like you're suffocating in mucus. Gross I know. But way scary.
It's never fun to be sick over a break but if I had to get sick I'm glad it wasn't after my kids went back to school and my full Mom and Nanny duties resume!
Daughter and I watched the Twilight movie series over the weekend. She's 11 and I decided I would just fast forward through some parts (namely movie 4) to make it more appropriate for her to watch. I still love movies 2-5. But movie one - all I could think about while watching it was: this is a disgrace and embarrassment to the book!
So that's my week in a sick nutshell. I did read some in a series ender, trying to start 2015 off with a checklist on my series ender goal list. I'm about 80% done with this book so far.
Speaking of....don't forget to sign up to participate in the 2015 Series Ender Reading Challenge! We host a giveaway EVERY MONTH!! Come check it out!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you get fully well soon! :) Haven't heard of this series. And what did Ash think of the movies (other than the 1st)?
ReplyDeleteI was sick over the holidays too and still have a cough. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe Twilight books got me into YA Fantasy and for that I forgive anything. LOL
