Answer this week's question in your own blog post.
This week's question:
Do you read more than 1 book at a time, and if so, how, like a certain number of pages per book before moving on to the next one in the queue?
I have attempted this in the past, maybe reading one book on my Kindle app, and one hard print book and switching in between the two depending on where I was reading and which was more convenient. Inevitably though, one book would always take up more of time than another and I found that I wasn't really making faster progress by reading multiple books at a time. So for probably the last 2 years I've been a one-book-at-a-time kind of gal.

This is a follow hop! So be sure to hop around and follow the bloggers participating. I've been MIA in this meme for quite a long time but I do enjoy participating when I can. For follows, I prefer GFC and Facebook equally, second would be email subscriptions, Goodreads, and bloglovin if you really like what you see and don't want to miss out on anything. All follow buttons are located on the right side bar or click on the links above.
YES! There's another! I'm not alone! SO many people can read more than 1 book at a time. I'm like you. I could cross wires with plots and other details if I read 2 or more at once! I love being able to read one book a time too! Too much school days where I had to read like 3-4 books at once, and that was practically unbearable!

Have a GREAT day!

I can't read two books at a time that are in the same format, but I can read two books at once if one is on audiobook and the other is in print (ebook or paper). I've tried 3 at once but I always end up going back to just two.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a one book girl myself. :)

I'm the same! If I ever read two books at the same time then you can guarantee one of them will be forgotten!

Reading one book and one physical actually works for me, so that's how I always go. :D

I think it is great that you read one book at a time. I sometimes feel like I should do that. But I love reading my Kindle in bed, so I am usually at least reading two books at the same time.

Haha, as much time as I've spent reading a couple of books at a time lately, this sometimes happens with me too and I just have to end up finishing the one before I can go back and attempt to finish the other. Usually, if I'm mixing genre's, then it's not so hard and I can go back and forth with each one every other day. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading and Hopping Through!!! <3
Have a fantastic weekend! :)

I've always got a print book and an ebook going at the same time. I want the ebook when I'm reading at night so I don't bother the hubby. I try to read two different genres so that helps not getting confused with what's going on. If one of them gets especially compelling, I'll stop and finish it. I also listen to an audio book once a week when traveling to visit the grandbaby. This is about a 4 hour trip and I only listen to murder mysteries here. Not sure but the complexity of a good murder seems to keep me alert and has the time passing quickly.
ReplyDeleteI was reflecting on this question after going on to another blog and realized that this is something I'd always done. I'm retired now but even when I worked and especially when my kids were growing up, I'd have a book on my headboard that I read every night to unwind after a long day, a book at work that I read at lunch, and one I carried in my purse to read while waiting on kids at their dance, music, baseball, etc practice.
ReplyDeleteThis was long before Kindles so it was print all the time, though I still tended to read different genres.
I carry my mp3 player at work and listen to audio books all day, but at home I have hard copies and my tablet. So I always have at least 2 books going.

I also only read one book a day since I tend to forget about what I read in the last book and it can be bad when I'm revieiwing various books. Here's my Feature and Follow Friday Post:
