Feature & Follow #59

Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parakunkee and Alison Can Read.

"The goal is to increase followers and make new friends."

The Rules:
Follow the 2 hosts.
Follow the 2 features (new each week).
Hop around and follow others that are participating, leaving a comment to let them know.
Answer this week's question in your own blog post.

This week's question:
How do you decide what books to read?

Typically it boils down to 2 main factors: is the cover appealing and is there a love story involved? A close second to these reasons would be: am I a fan of the author; is the synopsis unique and/or intriguing, and is the rating above 3.75 stars on Goodreads?

What about you? Are you a cover snob like me? Do you have some method for weeding through the gazillions of books at your disposal?

As this is a follow blog hop, please don't forget to follow and leave a comment letting me know how you did. I prefer GFC, Email, FB and Bloglovin - all found in the right side of the blog.

Appealing covers are awesome, but I hate when the content of the book is bad and the cover is beautiful. :( New follower via Bloglovin'. http://angreads.blogspot.com

  2. I'm totally attracted to covers too. If I see a cover that I absolutely love then there's a good chance I'll read the book!

  3. I am a bit of a cover snob. I won't NOT read a book with a bad cover, but I will always want to read a nice looking book first. That's probably not a good thing, but oh well! I appreciate a pretty picture now and again.

  4. I'm definitely a sucker for great covers, too. I also choose books based on rating in Goodreads. :)

  6. I'm the same way - there has to be a love story involved. Oh, and a great cover! Thanks for stopping by my blog - new follower :)

  7. Wow, you sound like me. I love covers. I do judge books by their cover, definitely. And I almost ALWAYS have to have a romance. LOL. New GFC follower.
