Teaser Tuesday #103: The Heart of Betrayal

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly post hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm.

Anyone can play along. Just go HERE to learn how to participate.

This week my teasers come from
The Heart of Betrayal (The Remnant Chronicles #2) by Mary E. Pearson:
Teasers: By his third swing, I knew I wasn't fighting an emissary. By his fifth, I knew he wasn't even an average soldier. By the tenth strike, I knew I was going to lose.
(Loc 74%, page 354 of 473)

What are you reading this week?

  2. That's a good one! I knew there was a reason I wanted to read these. :) The cover art originally drew me to these, but the reviews I've seen have been good. Great pick.

  7. Ok, that pulled me right in! Why is she fighting a man in the first place?! Too many questions! Awesome teaser!

This story is told from 3 main POV's - so this particular quote is not told from the leading heroine. ;-)

I've seen a theme recently on book covers, perhaps in YA fantasy, with a woman in a bright colored dress with a dreary background. Those covers always draw me in! Thanks for stopping by!
