Summary:
Some loves will last ’til your dying breath

Every choice has consequences—but seventeen-year-old Layla faces tougher choices than most. Light or darkness. Wickedly sexy demon prince Roth, or Zayne, the gorgeous, protective Warden she never thought could be hers. Hardest of all, Layla has to decide which side of herself to trust.

Layla has a new problem, too. A Lilin—the deadliest of demons—has been unleashed, wreaking havoc on those around her…including her best friend. To keep Sam from a fate much, much worse than death, Layla must strike a deal with the enemy while saving her city—and her race—from destruction.

Torn between two worlds and two different boys, Layla has no certainties, least of all survival, especially when an old bargain comes back to haunt them all. But sometimes, when secrets are everywhere and the truth seems unknowable, you have to listen to your heart, pick a side—and then fight like hell…
MY REVIEW:
What more can I say except that I highly enjoyed this end to the series in every way. This was a series unlike any I've come across before, where the author allowed her readers to vote who Layla would end up with and whichever guy had the most votes that was how she would write that part of the ending. I knew who I wanted, who I voted for, and so I can now say that I was very pleased!

Some can say that the ending was semi-predictable in nature....but I have to admit that this type of predictability doesn't bother me, considering the fact that I like my stories to have happily-ever-after's.

To keep from giving any spoilers away from book two for those who may be new to the series, this final installment picks up where it left off, with Layla feeling alone and betrayed from her clan, torn between two amazing guys who couldn't possibly be more different (Zayne and Roth), knowing her decision to choose one of them will hurt the other, and the bigger picture of stopping the Lilin before the Alphas intervene and the apocalypse ensues.

And seriously....Roth. There is so much goodness wrapped up in that one word, if you don't read this series for any other reason, read for him!

The gargoyle concept was new to me, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying this race of paranormal creatures. Fans of YA paranormal romance will enjoy this series for sure!

Top 5 Favorite Quotes:
...seize life - seize everything it had to offer, including the tears, the anger and loss, but most of all, the laughter and the love.

Stop being a coward and let go of the past. Embrace the future, because they are two very different things.

"I see what you don't."

"I might have a boundaries problem."

"Simmer down, crouching demon, hidden Warden."
