Review - Stardust Destiny by Nazarea Andrews

This week was going along great. Wonderful weather, softball games, normal activities. But it ended with devastating news regarding my kids school family. A fellow classmate took her life Thursday night and the student body (6th-12th grades) and parents were told Friday morning. The school responded in the best way possible by cancelling all teaching plans and bringing in counselors. The teachers stepped up to the plate to minister to the kids, to listen to their reactions and talk through their questions. Every class came together for prayer, both teacher led and student led. The school became what it has truly shown itself to us to be, a big family. Friday night the school held a remembrance worship service for all students, parents and staff. It was the absolute best decision for our family to attend and to allow our kids the time to be around so many other students and friends in a safe environment to help each other cope with and begin a healing process over this tragedy.
Psalm 127: 3 "Children are a gift from the Lord".

  3. How devastating for everyone involved! It is such a difficult time for everyone, though it sounds as if the school have dealt very sensitiviely with the situation - such a terrible thing to have happened:(.
I love the cover of And I Darken - I'll be interested to know how you get on with it. In the meantime, my thoughts are with you and your family.
