Review - Broken Prince (The Royals #2) by Erin Watt
ARC Thursday Review - The Angel Knights novella

We had a full week with the normal kids school activities, early mornings and late nights. Then a Friday night football game AND the beginning of a volleyball tournament which carried on into Saturday morning. Unfortunately my daughter's team lost out after 3 games, but 2 of those 3 games were so close in the matches to winning. It was really cool to see her playing as well as she did for her first time in the sport. I'm thankful that my kids aren't afraid to try new things and love being active! People ask all the time what age I think has been the most challenging in raising our kids so far. I think all ages have some form of challenge but thankfully these teen years (son is 14.5 and daughter is a couple months shy of 13) so far have been growth years. Sure, teenagers can be moody and sensitive and know-it-alls but they can also be wise and engaging and funny! It helps to remember what you yourself were like at that age. It's a great buffer for not unloading all your wrath on them when they lose their minds at times. Due to our busy schedule, I found my reading this week to slow down a tad but I'm hoping to pick back up this week and finish at least 2 books.

DON'T FORGET:

  5. You sound like you have a great relationship with your kids and a lot of understanding of where they're at. I agree it's great they're prepared to try new things and now too bothered if they don't always win. There's an important life lesson there!
