ARC Thursday Review - Finding Kyler (The Kennedy Boys #1) by Siobhan Davis (3.5 stars)

Not much to report from my week. It was beautiful Spring weather, with highs right at 80 for a couple days this week and mid 70's the rest. Even for central Alabama, this is very unusual warm temps for January. But I'll take it! Bring on the flip flops!

Unfortunately our dryer is basically unusable now, so for all intents and purposes it "went out" on Thursday. Due to the age of the washer and dryer, and issues I was having with both, we had to shop for and purchase a new set. Let me tell you - in a family of 4, two being teenagers, not being able to dry clothes for over a week is a MAJOR hassle! Our new set won't be delivered until next Thursday. What a pain! It wasn't a purchase we planned to start off 2017, but I'm looking forward to a new set. First time in my married life of 18 years that we've ever had to buy a washer and dryer! Thanks to my parents, we always got their old set when they would purchase new.

In book news I'm making great progress for January. 5 books read so far. The weekend brought a relaxing Saturday. Time to read, blog and watch TV.

Oh bummer! Awhile back our dryer stopped working. Right in the middle on me drying my bed sheets. We had to take all our sheets to a laundry mat that was just down the street, because luckily my stepdad was able to fix the dryer. It's funny because a lot of our clothes don't get dryer dried. We line dry a lot, but all my stepdad's clothes get dryer dried. Lol. Well, at least you won't have to wait too long for the dryer, it still arrives this week!

And no new books?! Again, I always say that's that good thing/bad thing. I like when it happens for the sake of my TBR pile but then it also saddens me too! LOL! Amazon totally lost one of my books in transit and it left me very unhappy. Ironically it did make it to my local post office, it just never left after 4am on Tuesday morning. At least according to the tracking. So they're going to send me another one but it won't come until tomorrow, but it's a holiday so I won't be surprised if it doesn't show. I've gotten mail from them on Sundays, but never a bank holiday.

Enjoy the break from adding to your TBR pile and getting a small chance to make a dent in it! Happy Reading!

There's one ARC in particular I've requested and was hoping all week I'd hear back but never did. So trust me - I was attempting to get a new book this week! haha

Oh to live in a climate where line drying would work for us. Where we are though, it just wouldn't do well.

    Thanks for stopping by Jessica!

Oh I hate when the replies take forever! It's almost too torturous to handle!

We actually have a clothing line set up in our basement, where our washer/dryer is at. Our backyard is run by dogs, so it wouldn't be possible to ever dry clothes out there! LOL!

  4. I caved about a year ago and bought a new washer and dryer. I knew both were on their last legs. No new books! Good for you. I went a bit crazy with new ones this week. LOL

  5. I don't know how many times we had dryers go out growing up. We hated hanging our clothes on the line in the fall/winter because they would be hard and stiff, very uncomfortable. It will be nice to have a new set! The man had to buy a new washer last year and I do like it. Hopefully the kids can live a week more.
