Feature & Follow {5}

Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read. "Increase blog followers, gain book blog followers, and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow." This week's question is: Q. Activity!  Who do you want to be? If you could choose any character from a book.  What do you think that character looks like and what do you have in common? Wow....um.....tough choice.  For no reason of having anything in common with this character, I think I would want to be Daenerys Targaryen from A Song of Ice and Fire series . First of all, she was married to Khal Drogo - yes she was sold as a young girl, yes he was brutal and barbaric, but she softened him and he grew to love her and she him.  She has been through unimaginable pain and suffering, losing both her husband and her son, all of her blood family, and her husband's tribe of people, only to rise stronger out of the ashes, literally through fire, b...

Waiting on The Winds of Winter

Image
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly post hosted by Breaking the Spine . Wow, I'm late getting my pick out today.  I really try to get my posts out in the mornings but it was a busy day.  And to top it off I'm really not having a book come to mind easily.  I was going to choose Dare You To by Katie McGarry - because I AM excited for that to come out, but just last week I featured a post on its cover reveal  so that seemed redundant to choose it for my WoW pick this week. So my pick for this week is book 6 in its series and it looks like the release date is something like 2015!!  That's a bit ridiculous.  But perhaps it'll move up given the fact that the book was made into a successful TV show, and I mean really, the writers of the show have to have the inspiration from the books.  Right??? What book are you waiting on this week?  Leave me a comment to let me know!

Top 10 - Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Bringing Me

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and The Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Bringing Me . With Christmas fast approaching and over 100 books on my wish list for others to purchase for me (not all of my TBR books make it on that list), I have high hopes that I will get some of my highest priority books! I'm cheating slightly by adding a few series as 1, but it's my Top Ten so I can make the rules as I go.   The absolute highest priority book(s) that I'd like Santa to bring is: Of course I've read these but I borrowed them from others or checked them out at the library so I very much would like my own copies. Next on my list would be: Have you noticed a recurring theme? Next is: For the rest, in no particular order of preference: The Matched series by Ally Condie: A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin: I MUST read this before the movie comes out! Safe Hav...

Leave me a comment with a link to your book crush!   Let me know if you follow so I can return the favor.
