Image
Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read . "Increase blog followers, gain book blog followers, and make new friends with the book blogger Feature & Follow." This week's question is: Q. Activity!  Who is your to-die-for book crush?  What do you think they look like?  Add an image to make us all happy. I think I have a long list of book crushes so it was hard to choose just one .  However, in honor of book 3 of the Lux series, Opal , coming out in a little over 2 weeks, I am going with Daemon Black and it just so happens that the cover model is sooooo a good match!  (Swoon...) Leave me a comment with a link to your book crush!   Let me know if you follow so I can return the favor.

Win a Library of SIGNED YA Books!

Image
                Have you ever seen such a LARGE giveaway?!  50 signed YA books!  This giveaway runs through the month of November.  One lucky winner!  To enter, go here .                   ~Why do I love YA?~ I find that I relate more to YA books more than adult fiction, even though I'm 33.  YA books have a way of spanning the interests of many age groups.  How better to relate to your teenager, or young adult child or friend then having the same interest in a book?  That's what YA books do, they bring together those of various ages who enjoy reading the same book. Plus I've got massive love for many YA authors: Carrie Ryan, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Veronica Roth, Suzanne Collins, Cassandra Clare, Stephenie Meyer, Richelle Mead, and many others.  These ladies KNOW how to write a great story!

Feature & Follow {2}

Image
Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read . "Increase Blog followers, gain Book Blog followers, and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow" Q. BOOKS ARE TURNED INTO MOVIES ALL THE TIME.  TURN IT AROUND.  WHAT MOVIE WOULD MAKE A GREAT BOOK? Wow, this is a toughie.  Perhaps it's because nearly all the movies I watch are inspired by a book.  Every movie that keeps coming to mind WAS a book first.  Okay, I think I've got one... UNDERWORLD Those movies ROCK!  Yeah, that would've made a great book series!  (if it was a book first then the wind will have been taken out of my sails...) What did you choose?  Leave me a comment and let me know if you are a new follower and I'll follow back!

Waiting on Walking Disaster

Image
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly post hosted by Breaking the Spine . I was torn between 3 books for my pick this week.  I will eventually use them all I'm sure but today I went with a book that is the 2nd in a series, and admittedly I haven't read the first yet but it's on my TBR list.  I have heard very high reviews for book 1 and book 2's cover is just too good not to showcase. So, my pick for this week is: What are you "waiting on" this week?  Let me know - my TBR list isn't near long enough yet (will it ever be?).

Top 10 - Books I'd Want on a Deserted Island

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish . This week's topic is " Top Ten Books I'd Want on a Deserted Island ". 1.   The Bible .  This has to be my first choice. 2 Peter 1:3 - "... God has given us everything we need for living a godly life . We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence."   1 Timothy 4:8 - " While physical training has some value, training in holy living is useful for everything . It has promise for this life now and the life to come." 2. The Ultimate Survival Manual . I know NOTHING about camping, lighting a fire, hunting for food, building shelter, etc...  I'd be absolutely lost and probably dead in a matter of days unless I had a reference manual for survival in the wilderness.  A book such as this is an absolute MUST! 3. The Swiss Family Robinson . Granted, I've not read the book, ...
