Books To Movies, Take 3: Review of Divergent movie
WHAT. A. WEEK. And not in a very good way. Monday my daughter was running fever and had a severe sore throat so she stayed home from school. By Monday evening she felt terrible so off to the doctor we went. Turns out she had strep throat. She was able to go back to school on Wednesday. Thursday evening at softball practice a slide attempt into home plate gone wrong ended up with us at the ER until 10:15 that night with a bad sprain. My poor sweetie has had a rough week! A Trip to the Ortho on Friday confirmed there was no fractures in her growth plate but she has to be in a boot for 2-3 weeks with minimal pressure on it and icing often. No softball during that time so she is pretty crushed about that. She is our 1st base player this year (10-11 year old league). Hopefully she will only miss 2 practice games and 1 official game before she is released to play again. Fingers crossed!
So with the ankle injury our Spring Break plans to Orlando and Tampa were cancelled. (This is me crying.) There was going to be no laundry, no cooking, theme parks and fun times for our week off from school. (This is my really crying.) My son went with his grandparents for 8 days to the mountains instead so at least one of us gets to have fun this week.
On a positive note, perhaps I can knock out several books this week.
