ARC Thursday Review - By Your Side by Kasie West (3.5 stars)
This week.....oh this week has not been the best. I'm having some health issues we are trying to figure out. My GP is playing guinea pig with me instead of giving me a referral that I asked for. I'm on day 10 of a medicine that he is having me take for 12 days. And I can't be off of this stuff fast enough! It's affecting my mood swings and irritability in a BIG way! Did I mention hunger? HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!!! And it hasn't helped the issue for which I'm seeking help. UGH!!! Due to all of this, my attention span has struggled this week and I'm extremely tired come 8:00 every night. So my reading has slowed down. I feel like I've been on a painful roller coaster ride this week for sure.

I am dealing with chronic health issues as well, I can relate to the struggle. I can also empathize with not getting what you want and need from your GP and dealing with miserable side effects from medications. Sending positive vibes!
ReplyDeleteLetters to the Lost looks really good. Sorry you're dealing with health stuff. Hope it gets better soon.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Sunday Post
Sorry this week wasn't any better. I hope you get some answers this week. :( We're praying for you.

I am sorry your GP won't just make the referral. I love my PCP. I ask for something and he just sends the orders. The specialists, though, are a different story. I feel much like you do with them. Like my sleep study doctor signing results recommending surgery, and then later denying it would be beneficial and there was nothing medical related to my horrible sleep...and also admitting she couldn't tell from the results if I actually was asleep during those times because she refused to do an in-lab, and then suggested I get that done. I almost just stormed out of that appointment, but kept my calm until I left.
ReplyDeleteI hope your doctor realizes you need a different kind of care and sends you for it and quits messing around with you.
I FINALLY got the referral last week and the appt is set up this week. Sooooo thankful! Thank you for your kind comments.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that cover just too pretty?! Book pages used for flowers - love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Lisa!
