But for Pagan Moore, things are just getting weirder.  The high school quarterback and reigning heartthrob, Leif Montgomery, is missing. While the town is in a frenzy of worry, Pagan is a nervous wreck for other reasons. Apparently good ‘ol Leif isn’t your average teenage boy. He isn’t even human. Waiting on Twisted Perfection

Image
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly post hosted by Breaking the Spine . Each week bloggers participate to share what book they are anticipating the arrival of. In keeping with my apparent theme of choosing a book that doesn't have a cover yet, this week I just HAVE to go with the newest Abbi Glines book - which she just revealed today has a name and a release date of April 23, 2013.  In fact this is so new it isn't even up on Goodreads yet.   Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines For those who may not know, this book is Woods story from the Fallen Too Far series.  Abbi posted a teaser from it today as well.  Go here to check it out! What are you waiting on this week? Leave me a comment and let me know or leave a link in your comment so I can come by.

Teaser Tuesday #3

Image
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly post hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along.  Just do the following: - Grab your current read - Open to a random page - Share two (2) teaser sentences from somewhere on that page - Be careful not to include spoilers! (Make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away. You don't want to ruin the book for others.) - Share the title and author too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teasers. Alright so I cheat a little and sometimes pick teasers from two spots...as I did this week, and I cheat a little sometimes by adding more than one sentence to a teaser.  But hey, it's my blog and I reserve the right to cheat when it feels necessary.   Today's teasers are taken from Predestined (Existence Trilogy #3)  by Abbi Glines: Teaser #1: "What Death protects can't be harmed and baby," the pad of his thumb caressed my cheek, "y...

Existence (Existence Trilogy #1) By: Abbi Glines Published: December 13, 2011 by Wild Child Publishing 194 pages Source: Personal Kindle Library ( Goodreads / Amazon ) Summary: What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course. Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him. Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead. Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize ...

Feature and Follow {12}

Image
Feature and Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read . "Increase blog followers, gain book blog followers and make new friends with the book blogger Feature & Follow." This week's question is: Q. What is the last book that kept you up late into the night just to finish it? I'm always pretty limited to how late I can stay up at night to read because my husband can't sleep with any light on in the room.  10:00 is typically the latest I can read and that's even if I stay up that late...hey, when you've got 2 kids of your own plus you watch a baby every day, staying up late typically isn't even in my vocabulary!  However, I *think* I stayed up till 11:00 recently because I couldn't stop reading (I didn't finish till the next day): What about you?  What book has recently kept you up all hours of the night either because you couldn't put it down or because you HAD to finish it? ...

In My Mailbox is a weekly post hosted by The Story Siren . Each week bloggers participate to share what books they received. I only allowed myself one book last week, and mostly that was because it was a $10 book.  I usually justify several smaller purchases each week but this was a book I HAD to have and was willing to pay full price for the Kindle version. Feature and Follow {11}

Image
Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read . "Increase blog followers, gain book blog followers and make new friends with the book blogger Feature & Follow" This week's question is: Q. Who is your favorite Villain from a book? Picking just one favorite is going to be the challenge.  I gotta go with one of my favorites from The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin.  In his books he writes amazing characters all around and boy does he know how to write a villain you can easily hate.  Sometimes I have found myself beginning to actually like a villain I had earlier despised.  Talk about a game changer later on in the books!  One character though that has stayed a much despised villain (and I've only read books 1-3) is Joffrey Lannister Baratheon. Smug, arrogant, abusive, prideful, jerk, you name it, this kid is all those things and more.  I have...

Top 10 2013 Debuts I'm Looking Forward To

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish . This week's topic is Top Ten 2013 Debuts I'm Looking Forward To . I've said it before and I'll say it again....I'm am a book cover snob.  It's just the truth and there's no need to deny it.  So for my choices this week it mostly has to do with the intrigue of the cover.  The synopsis is like icing on the cake if the cover pulls me in. Listed randomly: 1. These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman 2. The Watcher by Lisa Voisin 3. Fault Line by Christa Desir 4. Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson 5. Mortality by Kellie Sheridan 6. The Forgotten by Saruuh Kelsey 7. Undercurrent by Paul E. Blackwell 8. All the Right Moves by Ever Leigh 9. My Life After Now by Jessica Verdi 10. The Art of Wishing by Lindsay Ribar Honorable Mention (because I've either showcased these through Waiting on Wednesday already or they don't have a cover yet): ...

I'm trying something new today.  Since I LOVE adding quotes in my reviews, when I came across this meme it was love at first read.  So, here we go! Taken from: Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi, both taken from between pages 1-30 as I'm not very far in the book yet and don't want to spoil myself!   Teaser #1 - "Words tumbled out of him.  He said a dozen things he hadn't meant to say, until she drew back and smiled ...

A place where there are no clairvoyants or shapeshifters, no angels or superhuman boys to save you. A place where people die and music disintegrates and things suck. I am pressed so hard against the earth by the weight of reality that some days I wonder how I am still able to lift my feet to walk. Josh Bennett’s story is no secret: every person he loves has been taken from his life until, at seventeen years old, there is no one left. Now all he wants is be left alone and people allow it because when your name is synonymous with death, everyone tend...
