Cat Thursday: My Friend

Image
Welcome to the weekly meme hosted by The True Book Addict that celebrates the wonders and sometimes hilarity of cats!  Join us by posting a favorite LOL cat pic that you may have come across, famous cat art, or even share with us pics of your own beloved cat(s). Enjoy! (Don't forget to share your link in the linky post at the hosts page). I ran across this meme this morning and couldn't stop smiling from the joy it brought me!  I LOVE books, but I LOVE cats too, and to combine those two loves in once place, there's nothing better.  Since this is my first time participating, let me share with ya'll a picture of my own precious kitty, who passed about a month ago at the age of 14.5 years.  His name was Lucky Bear and I'd had him since he was 6 months old but hand picked him at his birth.  He was my first child and brought years of joy to our family. This pick was taken the week he passed, so he is very sick here.   Happier and healthier time...

Never Too Far - Review

Image
Never Too Far (Too Far #2) By: Abbi Glines Published: February 25, 2013 Source: Personal Kindle Library,  purchased via Smashwords for $3.99 ( Goodreads /  Smashwords  / Amazon ) Summary: He had held a secret that destroyed her world.  Everything she had known was no longer true.  Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.  Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life… until something happened to send her world spinning once again. What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?  You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out. My Review: Rush and Blaire have developed quite the love affair in a matter of just a few months time and though sometimes we think, oh that's not realistic, the bottom line is, yes it is!  It doesn't take much time at all to develop an intense and all consuming emo...

As she navigates the aftermath of her life-changing decision, she still finds herself pulled in too many directions at once. Her sister Zoe has arrived, and while Sydney longs to grow closer to her, there's still so much she must keep secret. Top 10 Auto-Buy Authors

Image
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish . I haven't participated in this meme since December 26, 2012 but I just haven't really been into the topics so I took off for awhile...and yeah okay, this post is a day late.  But "Top Ten Tuesday, really on Wednesday" just sounds stupid.   This week's topic is Top Ten Auto-Buy Authors. Now this topic...I can definitely spit out ten faves! In no particular order of favoritism: 1. Abbi Glines -  Author of Existence Trilogy, Too Far series, The Vincent Boys series, and more  - Hands down, Abbi is probably my current fave author right now!  I love her writing style, her romance makes me all fuzzy and goosebumpy.  Yeah, she rocks.  Plus, she's from Alabama, so we're almost related...okay I'm totally kidding...but we do share a home state in common. (# of books I own of Abbi Glines - 7, of those I've read 5.)  2. Jennifer L. Armentrout/J. Lynn  - Author of Obsidian, On...

Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read . "Increase blog followers, gain book blog followers, and make new friends with the Feature & Follow blog hop." To participate go here to read the full rules. Q. We always talk about books that we want.  Let's turn it on its head.  What books have you given other people lately? I like this week's topic!  Thankfully since it was just Christmas I did give a few books that I can share about, otherwise this would be a pretty boring post.  Aside from Christmas, I don't typically give books unless it's my sister-n-law's ( Somewhere Only We Know ) birthday or a giveaway on my blog (which there are 2 current ones going on and one that just ended). Let's see....over the holidays I gave books, some audio and some print to several of my family members, both male and female members. And for the prize of my most recent giveaway winner from Fo...
