Fashionable or Not? - Initials, Inc

Image
Fashionable or Not? Initials, Inc. Today I want to share about bags and purses. And not just any bags or purses. Specifically a company called Initials, Inc . Perhaps you haven't heard of them. They've been around for only 10 years so they are relatively new. I was fairly new to them as well until a friend I connect with on Facebook, who lives in another state, began selling Initials, Inc about 3 years ago. I sporadically would look at her posts and such but never really had much interest in purchasing any. That is until she posted a "hostess bonus" that caught my eye and I couldn't pass it up in January. When I get an idea in my head I jump ALL in - forget the consequences or ramifications of the idea. So I told her, "SIGN ME UP FOR A FACEBOOK PARTY"!!! Weeelllll.....I didn't qualify for the hostess bonus that was offered that month (the show had to be a minimum of $550 in sales) but I did get some awesome "Last Call" items, i...

Feature & Follow #56

Feature & Follow is a weekly post hosted by  Parakunkee  and  Alison Can Read . "The goal is to increase followers and make new friends." The Rules: Follow the 2 hosts. Follow the 2 features (new each week). Hop around and follow others that are participating, leaving a comment to let them know. Answer this week's question in your own blog post. This week's question: Do you like fantasy or realistic books? If realistic fiction equates to contemporary fiction, then I would say I like both fantasy and realistic books equally. I go through spurts where I'm craving all things fantasy...and then things get boring for me and I switch back to contemporary fiction and eat up a bunch of those. Back and forth I constantly go. But there's a bunch of labels that fall in between those, isn't there? Sci-Fi, Dystopian, Paranormal, etc... I'm all over the map with what I enjoy reading. It's more about the characters and how I relate ...

The Law of Moses - Review

Image
The Law of Moses By: Amy Harmon Published: November 27, 2014 298 pages Source: Personal Kindle Library Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance, Paranormal ( Goodreads / Amazon ) Summary: If I tell you right up front, right in the beginning that I lost him, it will be easier for you to bear. You will know it’s coming, and it will hurt. But you’ll be able to prepare. Someone found him in a laundry basket at the Quick Wash, wrapped in a towel, a few hours old and close to death. They called him Baby Moses when they shared his story on the ten o’clock news – the little baby left in a basket at a dingy Laundromat, born to a crack addict and expected to have all sorts of problems. I imagined the crack baby, Moses, having a giant crack that ran down his body, like he’d been broken at birth. I knew that wasn’t what the term meant, but the image stuck in my mind. Maybe the fact that he was broken drew me to him from the start. It all happened before I was born, and by ...

Never Never - Review

Image
Never Never By: Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher Published: January 7, 2015 by Hoover Ink 140 pages Source: Personal Kindle Library ( Goodreads / Amazon ) Summary: Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of fourteen.  Complete strangers since this morning.  He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget.  MY REVIEW: Unique plot! I enjoyed this story. My only complaint - it was too short. Just when it was getting good and we were finally seeing a teeny tiny glimpse into what's going on - BAM. It ends. Boo! I sort of half expected this given the fact that it's only 140 pages but was definitely hoping we got farther along in the story than we did. Pretty much we only see 48 hours of their life. Not all THAT much can happen in 48 hours. So the story is about 2 teens: 18 year old Silas and 17/18 year old Charlie (I can't remember her exact age).  The story alternates chapters between their POV's. They find them...

Fashionable or Not? - Stitch Fix #1

Image
Fashionable or Not? Stitch Fix #1 For this post I'm going to share with ya'll my first experience with Stitch Fix . I had read about and seen a few people I personally know talk about wanting to try it. The concept appealed to me but not having anyone I KNOW personally having tried it, I wasn't sure how it would go. I'm willing to try (almost) anything once.  Remember in my first Fashionable or Not?   post I talked about how I won't buy anything (clothes, shoes, accessories) unless it's on sale, I have a coupon or both? Well....remember this standard of mine because I will come back to it. For those who have no clue what Stitch Fix is about, let me give you the basics: ~ Step One: fill out a pretty detailed questionaire on what your sizes, favorite colors, favorite styles, etc... are. ~ Step Two: set up when you want your first fix to arrive. You will be charged a fee of $20 when the package ships out to you. This is the fee to use the se...

Feature & Follow 55

Follow the 2 features (new each week). Hop around and follow others that are participating, leaving a comment to let them know. Answer this week's question in your own blog post. This week's question: Do you read more than 1 book at a time, and if so, how, like a certain number of pages per book before moving on to the next one in the queue? I have attempted this in the past, maybe reading one book on my Kindle app, and one hard print book and switching in between the two depending on where I was reading and which was more convenient. Inevitably though, one book would always take up more of time than another and I found that I wasn't really making faster progress by reading multiple books at a time. So for probably the last 2 years I've been a one-book-at-a-time k...
